Abigail Welford
Abi started dancing at the Sussex School of Dance in Eastbourne where she performed in many pantomimes at the Devonshire Park Theatre.
Abi was then awarded the Gillian Lyne scholarship to train at Bird College.
Whilst at college Abi played Jenny Lind in Barnham, Annie Bessant in the Match Girls, Hermia in Midsummer Night Dream and Shen Teh in The Good Person of Szechwan.
After graduating Abi traveled the world performing on the mv Aurora, Oriana, and Oceana. Some of the shows included: - Elvis-Carole Todd, Poptastic- Brian Rodgers, Rave On- Paul Elliot, Red Hot and Fosse which Abi co -directed for David Morgan. Abi was dance captain for P and O Aroura.
Theatre productions include Interviewer/understudy Gabbie and Trisha in the UK tour of The Naked Truth, Connie Boylan-Dance Captain in the UK tour of Annie, Singer dancer-Dance Captain and co choreographer UK tour of Chicago and Beyond, Lyne in Stepping Out - Chris Colby, Cinderella in Cinderella- David Morgan, UK tour with girl group Trinity and Star in Rainbow High – Kenny Moore.
Abi’s TV credits include GMTV London Fashion Week, Play Monte Carlo commercial. Lynx, Dancer on Joseph meets Maria for the BBC.
Abi is an experienced Dance and Drama teacher, she has also gained vast choreography and dance captain experience.
Abi is also a YMCA trained fitness and studio instructor.
Over Christmas and New year Abi played Beauty in Beauty and the Beast in Broxbourne with the wonderful Linda Robson.
