Terms and Conditions

1.1 This section sets out the Terms and Conditions by which Hot Note Stage Academy agrees to provide products and services to you and/or your child.
1.2 When you book or purchase any product or service from us, you are signifying your agreement to these Terms and Conditions. These can be found on our web site. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with them before you book or purchase any product or service from us.
1.3 Hot Note reserves the right to modify, cancel or append to these Terms and Conditions without notice. The current Terms and Conditions always appear on our web site.

2.1 All new students will receive one free trial session.
2.2 Fees are paid for the whole half term which is between 5 and 7 weeks.
2.3 Fees must be paid on the first day of the new half term.
2.4 Fees are to be paid by cheque payable to Sarah Wilson or by cash.
2.5 All paid fees and deposits (including workshops and holiday schools) are non refundable including any weeks missed for any reason.
2.6 In the event of late payment Hot Note reserves the right to exclude a student from the academy until fees are paid.
2.7 In the event of a returned or cancelled cheque the parent/guardian will be responsible for any bank or administration charges that are incurred.
2.8 All fees are to be given to the academy secretary.
If a student leaves the Academy or is asked to leave, the remaining paid fees for that term will not be refunded.
2.10 Once a student has become a member of Hot Note Stage Academy a parent or student must give us a half terms notice or will be liable for the next half terms fee.

3.1 The uniform consists of a compulsory Hot Note T-shirt to be worn with black dance trousers or leggings and either dance shoes or trainers.
3.2 The cost of a Hot Note T-shirt is £8 which must be paid with a student’s first term fees.
3.3 No jewelry is to be worn.
3.4 Failure to wear the correct uniform may result in a student’s exclusion from the academy.
3.5 All uniform/merchandise must be paid for at the time of purchase.

5.1 Classes are divided into separate sessions being Dance, Drama or Singing.
5.2 Classes are divided by age however Hot Note reserves the right to move a student to a more suitable class at our discretion.
5.3 Hot Note reserves the right to change the normal class format to accommodate workshops, end of term displays or such like.

6.1 Hot Note reserves the right to exclude a student if we consider the behavior of you of your child is disruptive or likely to put other children or Hot Note staff members in danger.

7.1 Students should be in good health and have no reason why they should not undertake the activities time tabled.
7.2 All medical conditions shall be advised to Hot Note on joining or at the earliest opportunity after diagnosis.
7.3 Training in performing arts is a strenuous activity both mentally and physically. While all reasonable care will be taken, Hot Note cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury sustained by the student or for loss or damage to monies, clothing or personal affect brought onto the premises during our activities save to the extent that such injury or damage shall be caused by the negligence or default of any member of our staff.

8.1 Hot Note is only responsible for the welfare of students during the times of their classes.
8.2 Prompt collection of students must be adhered to.

9.1 Hot Note does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property belonging to a student.

10.1 From time to time, photographs, film, video or audio recordings may be made during activities for publicity, promotional or broadcast purposes. You must inform us in writing if you do not wish for your child to appear or be identified in any such material.
10.2 In the event of a performance students may be responsible for providing or covering the costs of their costume and/or props.

11.1 We reserve the right to cancel any workshop, session or other service at any time up to and including the date the activity starts. Should this occur we will endeavor to give you at least seven day’s notice and will attempt to offer you a viable alternative or a refund of any fee paid.
11.2 We do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to delays in public transport, weather, quarantine, sickness, bereavement, strikes or other industrial action, terrorism, fire and riot.

When you attend/sign up for Hot Note Classes you are then agreeing to these Terms and conditions.
